At Amos, we pride ourselves on delivering robust, high-quality integrations that connect core campus systems and make institutional data work harder. Every integration we deliver is thoroughly tested internally to ensure it performs as designed. However, true project success depends not only on what happens within our development environment, but also on how the solution performs in the real-world context of our customers’ operations.
That’s where User Acceptance Testing (UAT) comes in. UAT is the critical phase where institutional staff validate that integrations behave as expected with live data, roles, and workflows. It is also the stage that most often introduces project risk, because testing is typically performed by staff who are already balancing busy day-to-day responsibilities. When testing is rushed or incomplete, issues can slip through and only surface after go-live, creating unnecessary disruption.
Through our experience delivering integrations across higher education, we realised that effective UAT is a profession in its own right. Defining and executing well-designed test cases takes skill, time, and focus. By partnering with Prolifics, a leader in structured testing and quality assurance, we can help our customers achieve even more reliable outcomes.
Prolifics’ “Gold” level UAT management service brings discipline and best-practice methodology to this crucial stage, from test case design through to execution and reporting. For Amos and our customers, this partnership provides additional assurance that integrations are thoroughly validated before go-live, reducing post-implementation issues and giving institutions confidence that everything will work seamlessly from day one.
Our first joint engagement with Prolifics is with the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), who are implementing the Ex Libris CampusM Attendance Monitoring platform.
Amos is supplying the integration services, connecting CampusM with UCA’s timetabling and identity management systems, while Prolifics are managing UAT at the Gold level, ensuring rigorous test coverage and well-executed validation.
While Amos continues to conduct extensive internal testing and monitoring through Amos Connect, our collaboration with Prolifics ensures that end-user testing is given the time and professional attention it deserves. Amos Connect also proactively monitors integrations post-go-live, and our support desk remains available to help diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly. Yet, our own analysis shows that nearly half of post-go-live issues could have been identified during UAT if more structured testing had been possible.
By combining Amos’s deep integration expertise with Prolifics’ testing excellence, we’re helping institutions like UCA achieve smoother go-lives, fewer surprises, and greater confidence in their connected campus systems.
The Amos–Prolifics partnership brings together two specialists with a shared goal: to deliver integration projects that are not only technically sound but also operationally successful. Together, we help institutions turn technology investments into dependable, long-term solutions.
